Richard’s Best of 2023 Political Cartoons

This book’s mission is intended to go beyond underscoring the international and domestic political events of 2023. Its humorous and sometimes hilarious political cartoons highlight that year’s threats to our democracy and national security, that have mushroomed so far in 2024, e.g. the parallel of the pressure former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy faced that culminated in his being ousted, to the pressure new House Speaker Mike Johnson is now under from the same hard-right Republicans to not support the bi-partisan spending bill that passed in the Senate. That included funding for Ukraine.

This is Richard Friedman’s eighth book of political cartoons. Prior to becoming an author, Richard had been a high school teacher of mathematics and had earned a Master of Science in Education Administration. Richard also had a second career as a licensed real estate broker.
